This course prepares students for a career in the ever-evolving medical aesthetics industry. Students will combine skincare and laser training including hands-on clinical practice with advanced facials and various laser modalities.
The Laser Technician Diploma provides a detailed understanding of laser physics, multiple laser tissues effects, skin typing, wound healing, client consultations, as well as indications and contraindications to laser and light-based therapies. Additionally, the importance of adhering to the Ministry of Health and Health Canada regulations is emphasized.
Prerequisites for Laser Technician Diploma
- Personal interview to determine goals and suitability
- Grade 12 graduate or mature student status
- Advanced Academic Standing
Laser Technician Diploma Requirements
In order to achieve a diploma, a student must obtain a minimum overall average of 70%, with no grade less than 60% in any theoretical or practical examination.

Learn how to identify and treat a variety of skin concerns with an emphasis on cosmeceutical and medical-grade product lines. Using Dermo28’s skincare line you will learn the skills to treat all skin types with classic and advanced facial treatments. A strong emphasis is placed on practical training.
