The program objective is to provide individuals with the knowledge of traditional aesthetic treatments. Students will be well versed in providing traditional aesthetic services such as facials, body treatments, nail care, and waxing.
An in-depth understanding of practical application and client consultations is re-iterated throughout the program. Additionally, sanitization and sterilization practices according to the Ministry of Health and professionalism in the workplace are emphasized. Students will be prepared for a career in the aesthetics industry.
This comprehensive program is designed for individuals who wish to commence a career at a day spa, resort spa, cruise ship, cosmetic line, retail store or home based-business.

The Spa Therapist Diploma at IBI is a 12-week instructor-led program that combines online theory with hands-on practical training. Master advanced treatments and be career-ready for the industry in just 3 months!

Learn how to identify and treat various skin concerns with an emphasis on cosmeceutical and medical-grade product lines. Using Dermo28’s skincare line, you will learn the skills to treat all skin types with traditional and advanced facial treatments. A strong emphasis is placed on practical training.

Prerequisites for Spa therapist Diploma
- Personal interview to determine goals and suitability
- Grade 12 graduate or mature student status
- Advanced Academic Standing
Program Passing Requirements
n order to achieve a diploma, a student must obtain a minimum overall average of 70%, with no grade less than 60% in any theoretical or practical examination.
In addition, students must:
- Achieve a satisfactory rating in each of the required abilities in the practical application.
- Successfully complete the hours of practical application.
