An IPL photofacial is a treatment recommended for clients wishing to permanently lighten freckles, sunspots, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, or broken capillaries on the face or body. Medical Aestheticians use an UltraPlus IPL system to provide a comfortable photofacial treatment. These treatments can lighten pigmented skin and clear minor veins while minimizing the appearance of wrinkles.
During the treatment the client receives a full cleanse and exfoliation using medical-grade spa products. Patients will experience some heat during the treatment. Afterwards a cooling mask is applied along with Endocare finishing products and an SPF50.
It is recommended to combine a photofacial with a microdermabrasion treatment in order to produce the best results. Proper sunscreen usage and the use of lightening products (such as the Lumixyl skin care line) are imperative when clearing pigment from the skin.
